Another Day Older - A Little Bit Bolder

June 11: Older and Bolder

Another day older, and a whole lot bolder, the little hawks are venturing out into the live oak tree. This morning, one was way out on a limb. I could barely see him, until the leaves started fluttering, and I could see his wings flapping. He remained sufficiently hidden by the foliage that I could not get a photo of him.

Zombie Another little hawk peered out from the nest, looking directly at the camera in a funny pose, making him look pretty much like a little zombie.


While the boldest of the little hawks ventured out into the tree, another tested a small branch close to the nest, while the third remained in the safety of the nest (or perhaps he knows he will have the best chance of getting a meal if he stays there). Out on a Limb
